Luxury Vacation / 2010

Luxury Vacation / 2010 / Racheal Crowther

This image is a comment on the bizarre nature of fashion trends and the dilution and appropriation of graphic iconography in todays world - and how this dilution and appropriation strips meaning from these references. It also tells a tale of personal longing. I have never been to New York and have always wanted to go. My friend brought me back this t-shirt and it's as close to New York as I've got to at this point. One day I'll make it there I hope.
